Ranchwood has been an indispensable part of the South OKC and Moore communities since 1977. Rick A. McNeal D.V.M.
Dr. McNeal graduated from Westmoore High School
in 1990, received his Associates in Science from OCCC in 1991, his Bachelors in Zoology from OSU in 1993, and his DVM from OSU in 1998. He has worked at numerous small animal hospitals in his career; was a veterinarian at Tinker Air Force Base for a number of years and he purchased Ranchwood
in 2005. Dr. McNeal grew up here in Moore and married his high school sweetheart, Tera. He and Tera have 2 boys, Austin and Lincoln and a baby girl, Kennedy Grace.
Valerie Bays, D.V.M.
Dr. Valerie Bays graduated from William s. Hart High
School, Valencia, California in 1992. She received
her Bachelor of Animal Science, Science Option,
from Montana State University, Bozeman, in 1998,
and her DVM from OSU School of Veterinary
Medicine in 2005. Dr. Bays has worked at a variety
of small animal practices since receiving her DVM
but her emphasis has been in a small animal
emergency and general medicine and surgery.
Dr. Bays and her wonderful husband, Jeremie, live in
Wellston with their three young boys, Shawn, Logan
and Jaxon. In their spare time, Dr. Bays
and family enjoy raising their miniature zebu cattle,
Rhodesian ridgeback dogs, and working on their
farm.

IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE
It is our goal, whenever possible, to prevent illness! The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter package; and specialized blood tests for all life stages.

BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE
Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. Our doctors can help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a plan to help overcome those troublesome issues.
DENTAL CARE
Regular cleaning of your pets’ teeth is important in maintaining a healthy pet! Our dental procedures use an ultrasonic system to clean each tooth above and below the gum line. Your pets’ teeth will be polished to create a smooth surface more resistant to the buildup of plaque and tartar. Application of fluoride helps strengthen enamel and reduce.
NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING
Some pets may have special nutritional needs, but all pets need a balanced diet! Our doctors and staff are here to help you with any questions or concerns you have about your pets’ food. We can help you choose the right diet for your furry family members to keep them happy and healthy!
