Our History

 

Ranchwood Veterinary Hospital has been privately owned since 1977, with deep roots in the Oklahoma City community. When Dr. McNeal took ownership in 2005, his vision was to deliver what he called “State-of-the-Heart” care—pairing compassionate personal relationships with progressive veterinary medicine.

Over the years, that vision has led to major advancements in how we care for pets, including:​

• Adding laser therapy for pain management and healing

• Installing ultrasound and full in-house laboratory diagnostics

• Upgrading to digital radiography with advanced image analysis

• Adding an ICU oxygen chamber to better support critical patients

• Integrating Artificial Intelligence to aid in Imaging & lab diagnostics

 

Environmentally Focused Care

 

Caring for the community also means caring for the world we share. Ranchwood Veterinary Hospital is deeply committed to reducing our environmental impact and operating responsibly.

Our sustainability efforts include:

• Installation of a public electric vehicle charging station in 2011

• Solar panels added in 2008 to reduce energy consumption

• Ongoing recycling and waste-reduction programs throughout the hospital
