Meet Dr. Rick McNeal

Dr. McNeal’s passion for animals began at an early age—and that lifelong calling continues to guide his work every day. He is a proud graduate of Westmoore High School (1990) and earned an Associates of Science at Oklahoma City Community College in 1991. He completed his Bachelor’s in Zoology from Oklahoma State University in 1993, followed by his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Since becoming the owner of Ranchwood Veterinary Hospital in 2005, Dr. McNeal has built lasting relationships with both his patients and their families. He is known for his compassionate approach, clear communication, and dedication to providing high-quality, modern veterinary care. His goal has always been to blend advanced medicine with genuine, personal connection—so every pet and owner feels supported and understood.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. McNeal enjoys spending time with his three children and pets. When he’s not caring for patients, you’ll often find him enjoying his hobbies of birdwatching and cultivating bonsai trees, which reflect his appreciation for both nature and patience—qualities that also define his approach to veterinary medicine.
